Extractor Fans and Ventilation

Prevent Mould and Ventilate your property
Ventilate your property with suitable extraction and improve air quality with new and improved technology in mechanical ventilation units. From bathroom extractors to mechanical heat recovery units we have you covered for all your extraction needs.
What types of ventilation is there?
At Wade Electrical and Fire ltd we are experienced in installation of –
– Bathroom Extractors
– Mechanical Extraction Units (MEV, MVHR)
– Positive Input Ventilation Units (PIV)
– In-line Extractor Fans
– Ceiling Fans
– Kitchen Extraction
Bathroom Extractor Fans –
Standard bathroom extractor fans are the most common type of extractor fan installed within a property. They are used to improve air quality and mainly to remove damp air and prevent mould growth. A Majority of current installed extractor fans can be significantly improved through the use of –
– Higher power extractor fans (centrifugal)
– Humidistat Operation
– Continuous Operation
The above recent improvements in ventilation technology drastically improve air quality and reduce likelihood of mould growth.
Mechanical Extraction Units (MEV, MVHR) –
Mechanical extraction ventilation units and mechanical ventilation heat recovery units are a centralised extraction system normally located within a flat or hi spec property and are designed to remove stale damp air from multiple rooms and extract to the outside of the property. These units are very effective and can run on continuous operation to improve air quality within the premises.
Positive Input Ventilation Unit (PIV) –
A PIV unit, or Positive Input Ventilation unit, is a type of mechanical ventilation system designed to improve indoor air quality by introducing fresh, filtered air into a building. It works by gently pressurizing the building, which forces stale air out through gaps and cracks. This constant influx of fresh air helps to reduce moisture, prevent condensation and mold growth, and dilute pollutants. PIV units are often used in homes and other buildings to create a healthier and more comfortable living environment.
In-line Extractor Fans –
One of the most powerful of all domestic ventilation, the in-line extractor fan unit is a ventilation system that is installed within the ducting of a building, rather than being mounted on a wall or ceiling. It is designed to remove stale air, moisture, and odors from indoor spaces, improving air quality and creating a more comfortable environment.
Ceiling fans –
In the hot summer months it’s often a difficult issue to regulate temperature within a property. Costly and disruptive air condition units are not always an option for certain clients which is where ceiling fans come into play. Ceiling fans offer silent constant cooling at minimal energy consumption and are a great way to cool a property within much disruption.
Kitchen Extractors –
Kitchens in their nature produce significant amounts of moisture and grease. These particles need to be removed to prevent mould and grease buildup. Effective kitchen extraction often comes in the form of cooker hoods which ideally duct out to fresh air allowing for smells and moisture to be removed from the room
